We provide care from 8am to 9pm, seven days a week. Our shifts are structured to give both our clients and our care team flexibility.
8am to 2pm
Perfect for early risers who want to help clients start their day right with personal care, breakfast preparation, and morning activities.
4pm to 9pm
Ideal for those who prefer later hours, helping with dinner, evening routines, and ensuring clients are comfortable for the night.
This schedule ensures consistent care throughout the day while allowing our Healthcare Assistants time between shifts for travel and breaks.
Our carers work on a structured rota that supports work-life balance
One day off per week
Guaranteed rest day every week to recharge and maintain work-life balance
Every second weekend off
Regular weekend breaks to spend time with family and friends
This pattern ensures our team stays fresh and motivated while maintaining continuity of care for our clients. We carefully plan our rotas to ensure every client receives reliable, consistent support from familiar faces.
8am - 1pm
Starting the day right with compassionate care and support
1. Helping clients wake up and perform gentle stretches before leaving bed
2. Changing incontinence pads and assisting with toileting needs
3. Visiting the restroom, brushing teeth, combing hair
4. Bathing or showering - at minimum, seniors should shower or bathe at least once or twice a week to minimise risk of infection and skin breakdown
5. Changing clothes and personal grooming tasks
6. If necessary, changing bed linens and pulling back covers
1. Enjoying a cup of tea or coffee followed by a healthy breakfast
2. Preparing a healthy breakfast and assisting with feeding if needed - seniors should never miss breakfast
3. Prompting morning medication along with coffee and water or juice at breakfast time
1. Breakfast cleanup, reading the newspaper, enjoying a cup of coffee
2. Listening to music, gardening, or taking a walk
3. Morning stretches or light exercises for physical activity
4. Providing companionship and conversation
1. Observing and noting any changes in the client's physical or mental condition
2. Ensuring the home environment is safe and comfortable
3. Recording any important information in care notes

Morning is often the most active time for seniors - when most older adults have the most energy, making it the perfect time to get things done. A consistent routine helps clients feel safe and secure, especially if there are issues such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.

4pm - 9pm
Helping clients wind down and prepare for a restful night
1. Serving a nutritious dinner aligned with dietary needs
2. Ideally, seniors should eat at least two to three hours before going to bed to allow the body time to properly digest the food
3. After dinner, assisting with kitchen cleanup
4. Involving the individual in dinner in a meaningful way, such as helping to stir something simple, set out napkins, or say a familiar grace before the meal
5. Many seniors enjoy a light dessert after dinner - coffee and dessert are a great way to end the day and create the perfect setup for conversation
1. Prompting evening medications and record-keeping
2. Taking evening medications as prescribed
1. Any activities done after dinner should be relaxing to help the person wind down for bed
2. Spending time together on pleasant familiar activities such as listening to gentle background music, looking through a family photo album, or reminiscing
3. Connecting by phone or video with long-distance friends, grandchildren, or other family members
1. Beginning to wind down for the evening with a shower or bath, getting into pajamas, having a cup of relaxing tea or warm milk
2. Listening to music, reading, or watching a couple of favorite shows
3. Helping get seniors ready for bed, which typically includes tasks like changing clothes and teeth brushing
4. Changing incontinence pads and assisting with toileting needs
5. If necessary, changing the linens on the bed and pulling back the covers
1. Ensuring clients are safe and comfortable for the night by checking that doors and windows are secure
2. Recording any important information in care notes
3. Ensuring the home environment is safe for the night
